A Memorandum of Understanding between South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) and University of Malaya, Malaysiya (UM) signed at APC
A Memorandum of Understanding between South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) and University of Malaya, Malaysiya (UM) seeking to improve understanding between their respective academic Institutions and to establish mutually beneficial collaborations benefiting their students was signed at South Eastern University of Sri Lanka's Academic Centre on Wednesday in the presence of distinguished educational personalities.
SEUSL's Vice Chancellor Prof MMM Najim and Dean/Faculty of Education UM's Associate Professor Dr. Mariana MD Nor signed this Memorandum of Understanding as a first step toward achieving these shared goals.
The Parties hereby agree to implement within the framework of the rules and regulations applicable in each of the institutions and subject to availability of funds and resources, the following programmes and activities, which may include, but not limited to student and/or academic and administrative staff exchanges, joint research activities, exchange of publications, reports and other academic materials and information; and sharing of other activities and programmes in areas of mutual interest, where such sharing shall result in benefit to both Parties.
Speaking at a simple ceremony marking the signing of MOU, Vice Chancellor of SEUSL Prof. MMM Najim said that he was happy to associate with Malaya University (MU) and exchange our academicals programmes which he hopes would definitely enhance our students' academic activities and furtherance their research programmes. This is a big boon and encouragement to young Universities like ours and to go forward march.
UM's Associate Professor Dr. Mariana MD Nor in her address thanked the SUSL's Academics for showing a great enthusiasm and encouragement in this sphere and anticipate their fullest co-operation to make this programme a great success.
Coordinator/International Affairs Dr. A Ramees delivered welcome address and vote of thanks was proposed by Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture ML Fouzul Ameer at this ceremony where Registrar HA bdul Saththar, Deans of the Faculties, Heads of Departments, Professors, Senior Lecturers and academics of various fields graced the ceremony
