The Karate team of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka excelled and won many medals in the Karate Competition organized by the Eastern Province Federation of Karate held at the Recreation Center of the Oluvil Campus recently.

Karatekas from the Districts of Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee participated in the competitions held under the patronage of the Federation's President Mohamed Ikbal and a keen contest was witnessed.

SEUSL Karatekas have won 8 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Models and Bronze Medals. Those who obtained first three places in the competition would participate in the National Competition.

Akkaraipattu Police OIC ALM Jameel participated as Chief Guest and gave away the medals.
