Current Activities under HETC Project at SEUSL

 

Operations Technical Secretariat (OTS), SEUSL presently handle three major components of HETC Project, namely

      • Human Resources Development (HRD)
      • University Development Grants (UDGs)
      • Quality and Innovation Grants (QIGs)

       

  • Human Resources Development (HRD)

Under HRD component SEUSL has secured 11 scholarships for PhDs and 01 MPhil programs.
The following academic staff received funds and continuing their higher studies 
Mr. MM. Fazil, Lecturer in Political Sciences/FAC 
Mr. SMM. Mazahir, Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies/FIA 
Mr. AR. Nasar, Lecturer Probationary in Arabic Language/FIA
Mr. AM. Razmy, Senior Lecturer in Statistics/FAS

  • University Development Grants (UDGs)

Contract Document of University Development Grants (UDG) has been signed between Project Director/HETC Project and Vice Chancellor/SEUSL on 14th of October 2011. According to the agreement SLR 25 million allocated for first three years of project implementation.

  • The aim of the UDG component is to strengthen the economic and social relevance of university programs. To achieve this, the UDGs will support activities to
    • Enhance ICT skill of students
    • Improve English language skills of students
    • Strengthen the soft sills of students
    • Promote ethnic cohesion among students and staff

     

  • UDG-EDP/HETC Project (Improving Relevance & Quality of External Degree Programs) 

    Contract Document of UDG-EDP has been signed between Project Director/HETC Project and the Vice Chancellor SEUSL on 17.07.2012. According to the agreement SLR 15 Million allocated for 4 years. UDG-EDP Grants will support to improve the curriculum, learning support systems and cooperation with partnering organization.   

 

  • Quality and Innovation Grants (QIGs)

Applied Sciences (B.Sc. General) has been selected for PIP preparation. The site evaluation for QIG (B.Sc. General/FAS) was held on 4thand 5thof April 2012. OTS is guiding and monitoring the progress continuously. 

The QIGs mainly will support to modernize the current syllabi and improve learning environment.
